Fall Quilt Walk

One of the guilds that I belong to is having a quilt show in a couple of weeks. I love this guild because we are made up of all kinds of quilters: modern, traditional, contemporary, art – you never know what you are going to see at show and tell! Well, we are going to be showing our quilts off on October 11th at the Overland Park Arboretum. We will have quilts hanging from the fences, information about our charity projects: Quilts of Valor and Safehome, and a series of bed-turnings. Some of the bed turnings include:

Ida Houston – ThreadPlay
Barbara Bruce – Petal Play
Trisch Price – Modern Quilting
Joan Nicholson – A Quilting Journey
Carla Timberlake – Quilting with Scraps
Nikki McDonald – Finish What You Started
Shirlee Vieria – As the Applique Turns
Shirley Peterson
I’ll post the final bed-turning schedule soon! I’m hoping to add one more!

  1. Trisch,

I probably saw you at the Quilt Walk. I know I was looking at the quilts along the small quilt row, and I started seeing your name stand out on all the quilts that I liked. Okay, I liked more, but I could immediately tell your style! And I immediately knew I had to get in touch with you! I have talked to Nikki McDonald before and was good to see her at her bed turning.

Anyway, I am glad to find you as one of “my people” – I don’t know if you always do small quilts, or just sometimes do them small for a book, but the mathematics and the small just endeared me to you!! I have only finished one large quilt, and the rest of mine are small too! Anyway, if I did see you or meet you out there at the quilt walk today without really realizing it, what a great day it was, and it was nice to meet you. Or at least I know I met your work!!! 🙂

    • Hi Darla!
You probably did not meet me at the show, mostly because I was running the show and never seemed to be in one place for any length of time. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’m so happy that weather cooperated! I am a very math-y person – I have a MS in software engineering, I have to do something with all that math! I make both large and small quilts. Surely, we’ll meet at some point!
